Adams Fine Clothing & Tuxedo has been serving New Providence and the surrounding communities since 1958. At a time when every town had its own specialty clothing store, Adams became a trusted destination for men who wanted quality clothing, personal service, and a proper fit.

Times have changed, but Adams is still proudly here – locally owned, independent, and committed to helping customers look their best for work, weddings, special occasions, and everyday life.

The Name

Bill Adams and Joe Savino founded the shop in 1958. Although Bill left the business in 1962, Joe decided to keep the Adams name, and the Adams legacy has continued ever since.

David joined Adams in 2021 after years of working for corporations focused more on cutting quality than serving customers properly.

Since joining Adams, he has helped grow our customer clothing programs while brining in unique, timeless pieces that stand the test of time and trends.

David is proud to work in a cornerstone of the community and is committed to building lasting relationships with everyone who walks through Adams’ doors.

Established in 1958, Adams Fine Clothing is the premier custom-made clothier in the tri-state area. Using the best manufacturers to produce the finest clothing, we have established ourselves as a leader. Several years ago, our store decided to downsize and offer custom made clothing for the same price you would find suits off the rack. Since then we have become one of the largest custom made retailers in the state. Our clientele is diverse, traveling from around the tristate area for all their sartorial needs.

Joe Savino | Owner

Joe spent his early career as a buyer for a well-known department store. He learned how deceptive their marketing and pricing strategies were and how they valued profit over quality. In 1989 he decided to take over our family clothing store and focus on true value by offering the best quality for the lowest prices. His philosophy has never wavered and today he has the reputation of New Jersey’s top Custom Made Clothier.

David joined the Adams team in 2021 with over 5 years of various retail experience that like Joe, left him dissatisfied and disgusted how big box stores operated. He’s beyond thrilled to have the chance to work in such a cornerstone of the community and bring new ideas to the business. David firmly believes in the timelessness of a garment and strives to help his clients look modern, but free of trends or passing fads.
