Today’s shoppers are looking for real value which is measured in their overall satisfaction of each purchase. They want simplicity in all aspects of their lives. Exhausted from the lack of service and quality at big box stores and the isolation of shopping online, shoppers are flocking to smaller local businesses. And why not, a well-run local business will offer lower prices, better quality, and superior service employing devoted (often family run) sales help that will support you through every aspect of your purchase and take the time to get to know you and your sartorial needs. Additionally, shopping at a small business that specializes in a particular type of product yields significantly higher customer satisfaction and a return rate often less than 1% as compared to online clothing returns which are 25%.
Shopping online has its conveniences, but it’s far from the best option. Let’s be honest, what could be better than actually seeing the product, feeling the fabric, trying things on with the advice of a helpful sales person. Combined with the one stop shopping in our instore alteration department. No hassles of trial and error returns that inevitably come with online shopping. At Adams Fine Clothing, every customer matters. Our reputation thrives on customers sharing their shopping experience and our ability to motivate them to return often. Here are some of the fashion trends you will find at our store this season:
You Autumn Know By Now
Temperatures are dropping and our minds are subconsciously shifting to those fall clothes. At Adams, we’re excited to showcase our fall collection, which is focused on modern styles, versatility and comfort all at great values.
Suiting: Peaking Your Interest

New and modern trim silhouettes suiting in shades of navy blue and gray are the most popular choices, we’re seeing a slight tweak that brings it into 2023, a peak lapel. A peak lapel of moderate width can bring a sharp sophistication to your suited up looks and set you apart in a
sea of notch lapels.
Sportcoats: Soft but Sexy

During the pandemic tailoring took a major turn. Jackets were being made softer, with no canvas or shoulder pads. This resulted in a coat that is as comfortable as a sweater, but still looked great with a tie. And at Adams, that’s the kind of versatility we can get behind. Blue and earth tones are still popular but this season’s most popular colors are purple and green (not together though).
Pants: Darken that Denim

In spring we had two words for you: Five Pockets. And we still have those two words for you this fall! Five pockets in denim or cotton twill are that perfect in between pants that look great with a chunk sweater and boots or a sport coat and dress shoes. Our favorite colors this year are charcoal gray, navy blue and chocolate brown!
Sweaters: Knitted Out

When it comes to sweaters I bet you already have all the basics. Merino wool, cotton, maybe even some cashmere. This season pick up something special like Royal Alpaca. A sustainably harvested wool that accounts for 1-3% of Alpaca products world wide, this lightweight yet durable fabric keeps you warm when you’re cold and reverses property and actually cools you down when indoors. Whether in a ¼ zip, cardigan or classic crew neck you’ll never want to take it off.
Outerwear: Best of Both Worlds

Outerwear is confusing. The styles are plentiful which isn’t the best for the modern guy. At Adams, we firmly believe a guy doesn’t need a lot of choices, he needs the right choices. There’s only two pieces guys need until it’s time to take out the topcoats. The vest and the shacket. A lightweight vest can be easily layered over a sweater or a sportcoat and can be just as easily folded up and stored for those sunny fall afternoons. Since the pandemic the word “hybrid” is in everyones vocabulary and the shacket is the ultimate hybrid. Lighter than a jacket but heavier than a shirt this is the most versatile casual piece for the fall guy. You can wear it with joggers and a tee shirt for a coffee run or wear it with jeans and flannel for a more rugged look.
